Rescue Facts, a company that makes collars, straps, and braces containing medical information, has added a dog collar to its product line.
The
collar straps around a dog's neck, and contains a nylon pouch
containing a piece of paper with the dog's critical information. The
dog's owner writes down the dog's name, license number, age, allergies,
medications, health history, and emergency contact information. When
the dog finds its way into the hands of a veterinary clinic, the
veterinarian will have that information available.
Cost per collar is $7.99 plus shipping.

That's
a really super idea, but I think my dog would chew the bag to pieces.
There's no way my dog would wear such a thing. And they should make the
bag smaller. The bag's length is bigger around then my dog's entire
neck.

Ok,
this is great and all, but it looks as though my dog would hate it.
She'd probably chew it off before she got 20 feet from the house anyway!

I
bought it for my dog and he hasn't torn it off yet, it is pretty
secure. It doesn't really interfere with dog collar. My dog doesn't
chew the collar off so why would he chew this off. Now, if it were
bigger and bulkier then I could see -- but it works great and is much
needed since he has diabetes. I highly recommend this product!
